10 Keys to a Great Best Man Speech

I've been reading a blog called The Art of Manliness for a couple weeks now and it has been very enjoyable. Being that I've been around my fair share of weddings, and seen some good and some not so great best man speeches, I thought I'd share this post.

1. Prepare.

2. Stay sober.

3. Open by expressing gratitude.

4. Tell a story-make a connection.

5. Avoid controversial topics.

6. Avoid inside jokes.

7. Keep it short.

8. End with a quote.

9. Raise your glass and propose a toast.

10. Remember to be yourself.
