Reading, Quoting, and Brains

Not sure if I've posted these quotes before or not,

"The man who never reads will never be read; he who never quotes will never be quoted. He who will not use the thoughts of other men's brains, proves that he has no brains of his own."

-Charles Spurgeon, Sermon: Paul, His Cloak And His Books

Quoted in his biography, Martyn Llyod Jones provides a great caution against the danger of living:

"a kind of second hand spiritual life on books...We may do this for years without realizing that we are living on books instead of living on Christ."
